Wearing our new Surafina, it’s time to head out and enjoy beautiful Brisbane while the sky is clear, the drinks are cool, the coffee shops are abundant, and the events calendar is overflowing. Here are the five things we’ll be doing this weekend.
Billykart, West End.
Garden mojitos in hand. Great company. Wearing Surafina’s striped dress & tan heels, settle back into the buzzing atmosphere of Billykart. The latest venture by chef Ben O’Donoghue, a delicious menu, divine cocktail menu and relaxed mood the heart of eclectic West End makes this the perfect spot to start off the weekend in style.

Get yourself a coffee, almond croissant & sit beneath the jacarandas overlooking the Brisbane River at New Farm Park. It’s easy to steal a moment of serenity here if you get here early enough (it opens at 6am) before the rest of Brisbane awakens. Grab yourself some fresh produce and explore the stalls for natural beauty products, plants and more…
The 8th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT8) at QAGOMA
Saturday afternoon you’ll find us cultured and enlightened at QAGOMA, at the The 8th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT8). There’s no better time to visit - we all secretly know we’ve been meaning to. Once you’ve explored the eccentric installations, stroll along the river towards Southbank. After an afternoon at the gallery, a well deserved wine at Stoke Bar is in order.
Brave the lines and head to West End’s latest breakfast haunt, Morning After. Their mantra, “enjoy the night before, indulge the morning after” is perfectly appropriate with an exquisite menu and specialist coffee. We’ll be having the The Unrefined granola with yoghurt, rosewater jelly, apple & Bee One Third honey or Potato rosti, poached eggs, thyme roasted mushrooms, wild rocket & truffle pecorino…We’re drooling just thinking about it.
Make sure after breakfast you head into our Chelmer Store for their closing down sale. It’s open until 2pm Saturday and 1pm on Sunday. Here you can grab yourself some massive discounts and exclusive offers.
Heading back to New Farm we’ll bit spending our night under the starlit sky, watching the latest films at the Moonlight Cinema by the Brisbane Powerhouse. Make sure you’re in your Surafina pants, you’ll want to be comfortable lounging on ‘bean beds’. How better to wind up such a full and fantastic weekend?
